Chanel Timeless Medium Vintage Double Flap 24 k GHW Black Lambskin

Super Rare Vintage Chanel Classic Flap Bag, originally (re)designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Please note that the reverse stitched CC's and lock are correct for a vintage Chanel from the early 1980's when Karl Lagerfeld first joined Chanel. There is also no hologram sticker in this bag as it predates the hologram system which started in 1986. In the pre-hologram era, Chanel used both this reverse CC (rare) and the CC configuration as seen today. The CC's under the flap were also hand sewn and therefore not as even/neat as the machine sewn ones in current bags. The lock used is a discontinued version and the design is distinctly 1980s. The lambskin used is also different from that used in current bags, but still in good condition with a very shiny patina.
